Dear Members and friends The committee has met this afternoon to discuss the situation with the arrival of the coronavirus in Gibraltar. We have received medical advice recommending that we should postpone our social gatherings until further notice. The reason behind this is the fact that many of our members fall under the high risk category due to our age. The virus has a 14 day incubation period and any carrier could be spreading the virus without showing any symptoms. The committee feels it is wise to follow the advice and will therefore cancel our weekly dancing and postpone our major functions until further notice. We will review the situation periodically, seek medical advice and keep you informed. We trust you will understand our decision, taken to safeguard the health of our members and also to comply with recommendations from Health authorities.
